Favorite Things Friday

A Round-up of Everything we are Loving in October

Once a month we will be posting a list of some of our favorite products and services we enjoy using. I always love to hear about other people’s go-to  products, so I thought I would share mine with you!

You are Free

This is one of the most relatable books I have ever read.  It is beautifully written by Rebekah Lyons about her experience dealing with anxiety and depression in her own life. It details her journey to finding true freedom in Christ. I highly recommend reading this book, especially if you struggle with anxiety or depression.

” We compete, and we compare, and we strive, and we put terrible pressure on ourselves to “keep up.” But the good news is that we were not made to keep up. We were made to be free.. to be who we already are.”  – Rebekah Lyons

You can get a copy of the book here.

There is also a six-session video Bible study that can be done in a group setting. After reading the book, I immediately bought the study guide! You will be able to put into practice some of the things she talks about in her book and share it with others. You can purchase the study guide here.

Have you heard about Shipt? It’s a new program that delivers groceries straight to your home from your local grocery store! They cover areas all over the Midwest including Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and several other states. You can enter your zip-code on their website to see if delivery is available where you live.

What I LOVE about this service is that it makes it so much easier to eat healthy and not make excuses to eat out. With same day delivery, I can guarantee that no matter how busy my day is, I will still have groceries to cook a healthy dinner. I have been using Shipt for the past month and it has not disappointed! I’ve always have a friendly and respectful person who drops off my groceries.

Getting started is very simple. Download the app onto your phone  or visit their website to sign up for a membership. Then, select the grocery items you want, choose a payment option, pick a delivery time, and place your order! It’s SO convenient and easy to use.

Become a member and get $10 in free groceries. Plus, right now, you get 2 weeks free!

Target Farmhouse Decor

Who doesn’t love Target!? I try to limit my visits to about once a month or I would blow our budget out of the water. Farmhouse decor is very popular right now, and I love the selection that Target has to offer.  They have great ideas to decorate for fall, both indoors and outdoors. Its amazing how buying just a few items can transform your home into a beautiful and relaxing space. I’ve gravitated towards farmhouse decor over the last few years because it makes for a simple and comfortable feel in every room of my house. I try to put out a different wreath for each season, but the wreath I attached below can really be used all year round! The best thing about farmhouse decor is that it only takes a few added items to transition through different  seasons and holidays.

About Becca Hurst

I’m Becca, I am married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have two children, ages 4 and 5. I am a part-time social worker, but my heart is always at home with my family. We currently live in a subdivision on 1/3 of an acre. Although our yard is small, we have used the space we have to make a raised bed vegetable garden. It is possible to still grow your own food on a small plot of land! My husband and I share a dream of one day owning several acres of land where we can greatly expand our garden and raise animals.

  1. Ahh that farmhouse decor is SO cute! I’m pumped for the Joanna Gaines’ collection they’ll be carrying, and can’t wait to #buyallthethings. And that Shipt service sounds so cool! I need to see if they do it in my area. 🙂

  2. I totally feel you on only going to target once a month I should start doing that! I am loving all there home decor lately and once Chip and Joanna Gaines have their line in the store my wallet will be doomed!
