The Best Homemade Alfredo Sauce

Quick, Easy and Gluten- Free

Who doesn’t love comfort food? If you are looking for a low-fat, low-calorie sauce, this may not be the one for you. We are all about whole foods here at These Lovely Acres, which includes full-fat dairy. You will find that, in moderation, eating this way will not make you gain weight. There is a myth that “fat makes you fat”, but I have found that eating full-fat foods actually keeps me full longer and lowers my cravings for sugar! In addition to this, I believe it tastes much better. I challenge you to test this theory out!

This recipe is my go-to for a fast, easy meal that tastes like it took hours to make! I end up making this gluten-free sauce at least every two weeks because it is so versatile. It tastes delicious on top of pasta or chicken.  This is also a great recipe to use when having company over.  You won’t ever be tempted to buy bottled alfredo sauce again! Most of the time I add the sauce to pasta and grilled chicken for a hearty family dinner.

About Becca Hurst

I’m Becca, I am married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have two children, ages 4 and 5. I am a part-time social worker, but my heart is always at home with my family. We currently live in a subdivision on 1/3 of an acre. Although our yard is small, we have used the space we have to make a raised bed vegetable garden. It is possible to still grow your own food on a small plot of land! My husband and I share a dream of one day owning several acres of land where we can greatly expand our garden and raise animals.

  1. This is one of the only things I miss eating. We went plant based for health reasons and someday I’m going to recreate an alfredo. Has anyone tried this with vegan ingredients?
